What is the difference between hallmarked and non-hallmarked gold?

BIS hallmarking certifies purity at the time of manufacture. However, our XRF machine tests the actual gold content on the day, regardless of any stamp. Hallmarked or not, you get a purity reading from the metal itself — not a label.

Will I get paid for the design or craftsmanship of my jewellery?
